Level 3 Gagana Sāmoa
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Lolouta, Mr T. Tiria.
Students will learn to explore and justify ideas and perspectives in spoken and written Sāmoan. They will support or challenge the views of others. Students will focus in depth on significant events of the Mau Movement, explore perspectives around the Sāmoan Fa'amatai system and the changes and challenges of the Aganuu Fa'a Sāmoa that Sāmoans face living away from Sāmoa.
Prerequisites
Level 2 Gagana Sāmoa is strongly recommended, as this course develops the language skills learned at this level. However, this course is open to both native Sāmoan speakers and those interested in studying Gagana Sāmoa at an advanced level.
