Year 9 Money Matters

The aim of this course is to provide students with a good understanding of the nature of the society we live in. Students will learn about basic economic concepts and how to create your own business. This course looks at finances that will include types of income they can earn even while they sleep and budgeting skills. We will also look at rights and responsibilities when purchasing goods and services. 

In this course, you will:

• Basic economic concepts eg needs, wants, making decisions
• Understanding and explaining financial & economic data presented in graphs and tables
• Explain the process and success/failure of business enterprise.
• Consumer law understanding their rights and responsibilities 
• Values of fair dealing, honesty, integrity and consideration of others’ needs
